EUDR GeoJSON error: Area written as text
In an EUDR GeoJSON, an Area written between quotes is read as 0 by the EU Information System. How to fix it, and a free tool that converts it.
What the EU Information System expects
Numbers must be written without quotes: according to the documentation, an Area written as text, such as "Area": "3", is read as 0. Area is given in hectares for points; when it is missing, 4 hectares is assumed.

Fix it by hand
Remove the quotes around every Area value and use a decimal point, not a comma: "Area": 3.5.
Fix it automatically
The checker converts every Area written as text into a number, decimal comma included, and removes the values it cannot read.
