EUDR GeoJSON rejected: duplicate coordinates after truncation
The EU Information System truncates coordinates to 6 decimals, and points that become identical block the upload. How to fix it, and a free tool that does it for you.
What the EU Information System expects
The system truncates every coordinate to 6 decimal places before storing it. Two points that become identical after truncation are an error: send no more than 6 decimals.

Fix it by hand
Truncate longitude and latitude to 6 decimals (about 0.1 m), then delete any vertex identical to the one before it. A polygon left with fewer than three distinct vertices must be redrawn or replaced by a point.
Fix it automatically
The checker truncates to 6 decimals, removes duplicate vertices and flags any polygon that no longer has three distinct vertices.
Nothing is uploaded: the file is read in your browser.
Why this checker
- It repairs what can be repaired, instead of only listing errors.
- The file never leaves your computer.
- Your supplier can check and fix their own file, then send it with a SHA-256 certificate.
- Each checked file comes with a TRACES filing sheet, and the 6 steps up to the reference number.
