EUDR GeoJSON rejected: polygon with a hole
TRACES does not accept polygons with holes (inner rings) in EUDR plot files. What the documentation recommends, and how to find every hole in your file for free.
What the EU Information System expects
Polygons with holes are not supported. The documentation suggests modelling a ring-shaped plot as two half-shaped polygons.

Fix it by hand
If the hole belongs to the plot (a building, a pond), delete the inner ring. If it must stay out of the declared area (a patch of forest you do not harvest), split the plot into two polygons that leave it out, as the documentation suggests.
Fix it automatically
The checker removes each inner ring and lists every plot where it did so, so that you can decide plot by plot whether the hole must be kept out with two polygons instead.
Nothing is uploaded: the file is read in your browser.
Why this checker
- It repairs what can be repaired, instead of only listing errors.
- The file never leaves your computer.
- Your supplier can check and fix their own file, then send it with a SHA-256 certificate.
- Each checked file comes with a TRACES filing sheet, and the 6 steps up to the reference number.
