EUDR GeoJSON rejected: crossing lines (self-intersection)
A plot boundary that crosses itself is rejected by the EU Information System. How to find which plots are affected, free, without uploading the file.
What the EU Information System expects
Crossing lines (a figure eight or intersecting edges), overlapping sides and inward folds are rejected: the boundary must be redrawn so that its edges do not intersect.

Fix it by hand
Open the plot in a mapping tool, find where two edges cross (often two vertices recorded in the wrong order) and redraw the boundary. Only someone who knows the field can say which shape is right.
Fix it automatically
The checker finds every boundary that crosses itself and names the plot, so that you send your supplier one precise request instead of the whole file back. It does not redraw it: the true boundary is a field question.
Nothing is uploaded: the file is read in your browser.
Why this checker
- It repairs what can be repaired, instead of only listing errors.
- The file never leaves your computer.
- Your supplier can check and fix their own file, then send it with a SHA-256 certificate.
- Each checked file comes with a TRACES filing sheet, and the 6 steps up to the reference number.
