EUDR GeoJSON rejected: LineString or MultiLineString
TRACES rejects line geometries in EUDR plot files: a plot is a point or a polygon. How to spot them and fix the file.
What the EU Information System expects
Point, MultiPoint, Polygon and MultiPolygon geometries are accepted; LineString and MultiLineString are rejected.

Fix it by hand
A line is often a boundary walked with a GPS and exported as a track. Turn it into a polygon by closing it, or replace it by a point if the plot is under 4 hectares.
Fix it automatically
The checker lists every line and leaves it out of the corrected GeoJSON, so that the rest of the file can be uploaded while the supplier redraws those plots.
Nothing is uploaded: the file is read in your browser.
Why this checker
- It repairs what can be repaired, instead of only listing errors.
- The file never leaves your computer.
- Your supplier can check and fix their own file, then send it with a SHA-256 certificate.
- Each checked file comes with a TRACES filing sheet, and the 6 steps up to the reference number.
